I turn the car on and go, than it starts to go and stop and than it goes backwards on me even tho I'm not pressing the trigger.

To ensure high efficiency troubleshooting, Please try the following steps for trouble shooting:
1.Take your hand off the throttle, then turn off the remote and restart it again. If the RC car works normally again, the failure is caused by the hand hampering the throttle from self-calibration.
2.If you repeat the above operation, and the RC car fails to function normally. The throttle potentiometer is probably malfunctioning, so you need to replace it with a new transmitter.
3.If the RC car keeps running when the remote is turned off or you fail to operate the transmitter when turning it on, it is because of electric controller malfunctions and you need to replace it with a new electric controller.
